SENER is a private engineering and technology business group founded in 1956. Its aim is to offer its clients the most advanced technological solutions and to achieve international recognition based on its independence and commitment to innovation and quality. SENER has 2,300 professionals across its centres in Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, South Korea, Canada, Colombia, Chile, China, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, the United States, Morocco, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom and South Africa. The group's operating revenue exceeded 589 million Euros (2018 data).
SENER is an expert in Renewables, Power, Oil & Gas high technology projects and specializes in turnkey projects, which encompass engineering, purchasing, and the construction and commissioning of the facility, as well as offering operation and maintenance services
SENER has been applying and developing its capacities in the fields of engineering and technological innovation to all types of natural gas infrastructures for many years.
SENER will have its own booth to showcase its experience in the Gas sector, with more than €2.5 billion in LNG contracts and references as EPC contractor such as like Sagunto in Spain, Dunkirk in France, Zeebrugge in Belgium or Gate terminal in the Netherlands. SENER has become a leader in the LNG sector, applying technologies developed in-house.
SENER can deliver the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation of small – mid scale floating LNG solutions (FSRU: Floating Storage Regasification Unit; FSU: Floating Storage Unit; FRU: Floating Regasification Unit; FSRPU: Floating Storage Regasification Power Unit; FPU: Floating Power Unit;), and also SENER can develop jetty–marine works, bunkering vessels, and gas fired power plants, executing EPC integrated projects from virtual gas pipelines to Gas to Power.
Virtual gas pipelines with LNG Small and Medium Scale liquefaction plant (LNG S&MS) is an emerging market intended to quickly cover the energy needs in local areas where there is a low availability of space onshore. This system is based on extracting natural gas from an existing pipeline and taking it to a remote location through a liquefaction-transport-regasification approach that can be very cost competitive in certain scenarios. Thanks to the functionality of these small size terminals, it is possible to give access to natural gas to users that had never before had a nearby pipeline. SENER has already developed a virtual gas pipeline (liquefaction plant included) in Bolivia.
SENER is a technology company with an important expertise not only in all the fields that comprise the value chain of LNG (liquefaction, storage, regasification, distribution and power generation), but also in other key aspects for this project like marine engineering, marine civil works and others. It has a strong reference list in LNG and coastal projects around the world
Besides, SENER has developed a comprehensive project portfolio in marine and naval architecture since its foundation, in 1956, as a marine engineering company. On this regard, SENER has developed its own bunkering vessel with an innovative design, using its own CAD/CAM/CAE shipbuilding software FORAN.
Finally, SENER has more than 20.000 MW installed, worldwide guarantee SENER capabilities as E/EPC contractor in gas fired Power Plants, with references like Aceca, Bizkaia Energía and El Vent combined cycle facilities in Spain, San Martín, Manuel Belgrano and Bicentenario in Argentina, Temozulia II and Termozulia III in Venezuela and Norte I, Poza Rica and Agua Prieta in Mexico, some of them delivered as turnkey projects.
