Is a prolific author and has authored and co-authored nine books in the last eight years on macroeconomic issues. His last book in English, with Paul Steinhardt, is entitled Failed globalization and was published by World Scientific in Singapore.

Most recently, as Director of Macroeconomics, he was responsible for guiding The EIU’s global economic analysis across 200 countries. Prior to this, he was Director of Country Analysis and Global Forecasting.  As a trained economist, he has a breadth of research experience using econometrics, macroeconomic and political economy analysis. His research has covered many of the major factors impacting the global economy: climate change; geopolitics; FDI flows; artificial intelligence; and global employment patterns.

John Ferguson holds a master’s degree in International Economics from Sussex University, in the UK, where he specialised in macroeconomics and trade, and an Honours degree in Psychology from the Australian National University.

as Financial and Human Resources Director in 1984 until 1992, when he became General Manager of the company.

In 1998 he took over the General Management of Danobat, S. Coop. until he was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Danobat, S. Coop. in September 2013.
September 2013 he was appointed Vice President and Director of the Machine Tool Division (DANOBAT).

He was also President of MONDRAGON Unibertsitatea.

He has been working in the cooperative field for 37 years.

Born in Azkoitia (1960), he holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto.
Master in Innovation Management, also from the University of Deusto.
